WSBK: What a season so far!

What a season so far. After 8 rounds we had 6 different race winners representing 4 manufactururers. From the beginning of the season, the mighty Aprilia RSV4 looked unstoppable and now after Biaggi has done the double in Portimao, Monza and now Misano, can anyone catch him? Can Haslam fight back on his Suzuki GSXR1000 and close the 37 point gap? The top 7 in the championship are on 6 different manufaturers motorcycles which indicates that the performance level of this year’s superbikes are closer than ever. So, who is your pick to win the championship? Can anybody catch Biaggi on the Aprilia? Will the Ducati factory team begin to see better results? Will BMW continue to move onward and upward in the development of the new S1000RR? Give us your thoughs on the upcoming Brno races in Czech Republic on July 11th.
How about the FIM World Supersport Championship – It seems like a battle between Kenan Sofuoglu and Eugene Laverty with only 3 points between them. Joan Lascorz is riding well on the Kawasaki and former AMA star Chaz Davies is riding the wheels off of the Triumph and is currently 4th in the championship. Who is your pick for the championship? Any thoughts on who will when Brno?

Well, you’d be hard pressed to say Aprilia and Max won’t take the title this year. Max likes the Brno circuit so I expect him to do well, if not take another double. From the past races who will be fighting him is anyones guess. It seems each event we have a particular team that rises to challenge the Aprilia, but is not consistent. For Brno, I think Haslam may have a good setup, but we’ll see.
Enjoy the race!

Your comments make a lot of sense. The Aprilia has quite the motor but let’s see if BMW’s new crankshaft has an answer for them? Haslam is still in the mix but he has got to get back up in front consistently. However it plays out, it will be great to watch.
